Starring: Androgynie

This starry manicure features Orly Androgynie. Oh, it's a beauty in the bottle, but a bit difficult to apply.
It took three coats to opacity, plus the hexes were playing hard to get. Propably they were glued to the sides of the bottle.
The starry stamping comes from Pueen 24 with Gosh Silver.
See all of those pretty hex glitters in the bottle? Why didn't I get any.. :(  If anyone has any tips on how to get the glitters flowing --- please help!
Oh, the star stud is from a wheel I bought from Primark. They have had some nice nail things lately. The polishes are on the smelly side, but these decorations are nice.

GOT Polish: Rays of Light

This is my most fitting manicure ever to post for the GOT (golden oldies thursday) polish challenge, where the theme today is 'stripes'.

I had the base polish in my untrieds for a year or so before using it for this manicure – and then I forgot all about the manicure and the pics, so that all the material you're seeing here ha been lying in the vault for a year or so. Definitely an oldie!!
The base is two coats of Essence Crazy Good Times Candyction – an awesome jelly-ish brightest red with glass flecks. Why on earth did I let this polish stay untried for so long?!?

I then sponged on some random spots with Primark unnamed neon yellow polish (stinky as heck!), did a cris cross pattern with striping tape, and topped them off with Finger Paints Winter Sky. I used a coat of SecheVite to smooth out the surface.
It may not be the prettiest manicure I've ever done, but it's definitely one of the most... hmm... original? Interesting? Personal?

TPC – Four Way Hearts

Just a quick post about my challenge mani I'm rocking right now.
This manicure was (surprisingly) made with my May Tri Polish Challenge polishes: Nyx Girls Perfect Gray, Color Club Sexsea and Primark blue neon.
Stamping is from DRK-A plate, and the blue in the hearts was filled in with a toothpick.
It was my husband's idea to stamp the heart/stripes pattern in different directions. I was more than happy to comply - especially as he rarely gets involved with my hobby.
These turned out to be quite cool! Let's see, what the other have done today:

TPC 1 - Funky French

What time is it? Tri Polish Challenge time!!!
My three polishes in May are Nyx Girls Perfect Gray, Color Club Sexsea and -a surprise choice- Primark neon blue polish. You know the deal: four manicures using these polishes, posted on the two last tuesdays and thursdays of May.
My first manicure is a simple but funky french, done on two coats of Perfect Gray.
I recently squared my nails, so I can finally sport the funky french style, which looks odd on my normally long and pointed nails. Some of you might have loved those and think these are a little meh, and some of you might already be sick of my talonted style. I love to hear your views and to be able to express mine: I love my nails either way.
I didn't have any tip guides at hand (they are here.. somewhere...), so I just used some regular tape and painted the french tips first with Sexsea, and when that was completely dry, with the blue polish.
Let's see what others have been up to!

GG Challenge Day 8: Girls Just Want to Have Fun!!

I was overwhelmed with options with this challenge - there's so much fun in polishing my nails anyway, so what should I choose? Skittles? Animal print? Bright neons? Then I realized I could combine them all!!
I did this mani a while ago, but I've been saving it for this post. I used unnamed neon polishes from Primark, on a white base. I bought two sets and gave the other one away as a prize of my swatchcicle guessing game. I think these were two coats.
I freehanded a leopard print placing random dots of contrasting colour on each nail, and going around them with a black nail art pen.

As there were only four colours - I mean Where's The Purple!?! - I had to figure out something else for the fifth nail of each hand. So I used the brand new neon pink crackle polish, which I bought from Primark on the same visit.

Maybe I could have added some glitter, but that excluded, this is as fun as my manicures will ever get.
So it's the last day of the Girly Girl challenge. I'd like to send a big thank you to all the girls who participated and especially to the person who came up with this challenge, created all the fun tasks, managed the link lists and whatnot: Lindsey of Neverland Nail Blog!!!
